Greetings - Character Is Power

Hi, Taehyung-ah 😊🤗 How are you today? I hope that you’re doing great. It’s already the weekend, right? I hope you’ll spend today wonderfully and that you’ll be able to do the things you’ve been aching to do for the week but can’t find time to do so. You’ll be seeing updates about your newly released digital single, FRI(END)S, right? You should, you’ve got so many wonderful achievements. Congratulations, Taehyung-ah 🎉👏🙌 I’ll write a letter update for it today. I’m really excited to write it.

I’m talking about your own sense of character, not the one defined by others. As you already know in my previous greetings and letters, a character built for the purpose of pleasing the town gossip is nothing, and it is not your real character, not the real you. Again, do not be defined by others, so they can’t limit you and your accomplishments. When you know who you are, you’ll be able to find like-minded people, and fans, who will always be able to see your best, your strength, and your potential. And you’ve done that, Taehyung-ah! That’s why you keep growing with a strong and loyal fan base. Congratulations, once again 🥳🎉👏🙌

I’m always happy and proud that you’ve got such a massive influence and success through your own talents, hard work, and personal influence, Taehyung-ah. You’ve built that momentum with every release of your songs and projects, which are all promoting each other. You’ve magnified what is already amazing that’s going on. One amazing thing keeps adding another amazing thing, and it is only expected that you’ll get an amazing result, too, that will be with you for a very long time. You haven’t held back even your own injuries, disappointments, and weaknesses, too, which has made you eliminate those who only project a character on you that’s fit to the town gossip and instead allowed those who love and support you to grow with you, and they just multiply – an amazing proof that there are still more wonderful and smart people in the world than stupid, gossip/entertainment/power-hungry ones.

Let me just start it from the time I’ve followed you and BTS closely back in 2021. I love your quote from the United Nations back then. Like what you’ve said, “Don’t think of your future as if it has already been written.” You should also think about it more, Taehyung-ah. You were forbidden by your company to perform at your best during the concert that followed right after because of your knee injury, and you were very sad, but at that moment, you’ve got your fans and ARMYs reassurance of our love, support, respect, and admiration for you, right? You’ve trended the most, and that only keeps building up with the new concert you held in LA, from the airport to the concert itself, and all the shows you’ve done in-between. When you and BTS first made your individual Instagram accounts, you’ve quickly garnered the most number of followers, breaking two Guinness World Records.

You’ve released your “Christmas Tree”, too, which became the first Korean OST to enter the Billboard Hot 100, all without marketing. You’ve had a great start with an organic success as a singer and you’ve shown us a beautiful, meaningful song. You’ve built your Instagram so wonderfully, too, by simply living your days with us – and you’ve truly got super amazing days – and it’s no wonder so many of us are eagerly waiting for your next update.

You’ve brought the most impact to BTS during the Grammy’s with your interaction with another popular debut singer, Olivia Rodrigo. BTS’ performance then was the most exciting and applauded, and is still in everyone’s memory even with the two Grammys seasons that have passed. No one else could leave a better mark.

Fast forward, you’ve trended so well during BTS’ comeback, and you’ve maintained that even after the group has pursued solo activities with your massive following and influence during your guest appearance in Celine’s Paris Fashion Week. Again, no one else could leave a mark like you. Your Vogue magazine covers in October made history, too, and became the best-selling Korean content of all time. You’ve been on the cover of 6 more fabulous magazines since then. Your Elle Korea magazine covers have also followed suit and came in the Top 4 of the best-selling magazines of all time. You’ve graced in 3 magazine covers – W Korea, Arena Homme+, and British Pop – at the same time in September 2023, and all of them were selling (not to mention, you have also released your first solo album in the same month!). Your Harper’s Bazaar at the beginning of this year has also debuted at #1 in all online platforms, following your Elle Korea and Vogue Korea covers. In time, it will also be listed among the best-selling Korean content of all time, too.

Your Jinny’s Kitchen made waves internationally, too, and you have massively increased the spread of Korean food, with trillion won sales in ramen as your fans eat foods alongside watching the show (and after it!).

With you being the brand ambassador of many big brands or organizations, like SimInvest, Celine, Cartier, Seoul Tourism, and Compose Coffee, you have massively increased their engagements, sold out the expensive items, broke the sites with a large consumer traffic, and elevated their brand power exponentially. You even brought Celine an increase of 51% in sales or brand power ranking. You’ve also done the same with Hybe, covering 71% of album sales in the third quarter with the release of your debut album, Layover – a large gap against all other album releases by the company. Even with your military enlistment, you have increased the number of SDT applications 5X (also 500%) as you have amazingly enlisted in that special, but dangerous, military training. True, if you’re going to do it, might as well get the best out of it.

Your Layover has also broken the two-decade record of the best-selling album by a Korean solo artist in Hanteo and Circle-Gaon. Even with your company and other competitors sabotaging your music by delaying shipment, no promotions from your company (or hours late post updates), now-you-see-me-now-you-don’t links to purchasing your singles and albums, undiscounted pre-releases or first-week releases, unmonitored/encouraged/scripted reporting of streaming playlists by antis, and more, all of which with the intention of disqualifying your songs on charts like the Billboard Hot 100 where you got in no closer to the Top 30, your Layover still reigns supreme and you’ve gathered organic, reliable success instead. Your album and songs were the ones most ranked and featured in year-end top songs for a Korean act and solo artist by popular music critics and you were best-selling worldwide for the longest-period of time, where no manipulation of sales by companies could reach or prolong. See when stupid people, companies, and other schemers no longer exist and there’s just genuine love and support for your music, projects, and for you?

Your Layover singles have also broken records in many platforms, though YouTube played it dirty by not only freezing your views but messing up with your video links and transferring views and engagements to other channels, now ultimately getting your generated channel, V – Topic, hacked and deleting your 2M+ followers, which has been there since it was first generated with the release of Christmas Tree and ballooning from the release of your Layover singles, Love Me Again and Rainy Days, and the album itself. As far as I can remember, I haven’t been acquainted with YouTube’s generated channel for you, V-Topic, during Sweet Night, though it could be because it was your first independent release and you’re still building an independent following.

Apparently, YouTube (and who knows whatever entity is behind it) has been preparing to sabotage your FRI(END)S with hacking your generated channel and stupidly transferring your links to a clearly fake channel so they can have the excuse of deleting your views and your followers for “suspicious reasons” they themselves have schemed, or have been paid for by Hybe/BigHit since they haven’t done any action to restore it right away, as if the losses are none of their “business” (the literal one).

Again, why should they bother resolving your problems if their main intention is to ruin you? Remember that new roommate-paid-hacker I talked to you last time? Perhaps after reading my greetings-update, she elevated her complaint and got another stupid landlady shamelessly and repeatedly yelling at me earlier to remove my locks, all while knowing these roommates will be going home anyway, and if they’re no longer around, then there’s no need to do their bidding anymore.

They are people who don’t have power but are only exercising it through force, coercion, and scheming, either through gossip, shouting, physical aggression, and a lot of those disgusting things, with others even going as far as murder (a typical Southern behavior and stupid thinking). This new roommate and landlady, with all these paid hackers, have been trying to put me under them and making me submit to them every time. Isn’t that very shameless and stupid of them to do so when they’re just merely paid and when they’re just riding on me?

They’re the ones I’ve been telling you. Don’t allow them to extort money from you, Taehyung-ah. Because you have suddenly announced your military enlistment just when I’ve moved places, I’ve initially thought you must have gotten a lot of death threats, and these paid, shameless hackers must be one of them. Your generated YouTube channel was hacked around the same time my old neighbors called the police on me, too, so obviously, they must be the same hackers-network behind the sabotage of your music career that you’ve built on the platform for years!

They’re lowly, untalented people who are clearly not good with their jobs, and on top of that, they’re rather aggressive and hostile whenever I talk about them. They don’t have proper training, or they may be so stupid they couldn’t learn properly, so they’re killing and disturbing their clients instead of protecting their peace and security. So, this new roommate and landlady were fighting against me, and by humiliating, yelling, and coming at me all at once, just to put my security (locks) down. So stupid and unreasonable, isn’t it?

Just like what those old psychopathic neighbors, old landlady, uneducated janitor, and gossiping neighbor did last month, they called the police over my locks when they already know I’m leaving, as if they just want to cause trouble for me despite the problem already resolved! I’m always surprised at the world of stupid people and how stupidity is just their principles. And they know they’re connected and still feigning it. That’s how the gossip community work, and in their case, how paid hackers-network work. They’re very easy to read, too (so stupid and incapable they don’t know how to hide it! Talentless, even at such a simple thing).

Worst, they have no sense of honor. I bet these are the kinds of antis, and the kinds of company, you have, Taehyung-ah. They think in stupid, unreasonable, actions from stupid rules that they, stupid people, make.

We’ve made a lot of accomplishments and achieved amazing milestones, Taehyung-ah, and remember that none of these people would be able to make on their own. That’s our reliable success and power. As I’ve always believed, character is an all-encompassing term for a person’s abilities, personality, beliefs, destiny, and more. Define yours and have a power that doesn’t rely on anyone, so it continues to be yours when others are gone.

I love you so much, Taehyung-ah. I, and so many of your fans and armys, love you so much. May you never stop believing in that. May you always be assured of our love and support for you and know that when it comes to us, you don’t have to do anything unlike you. May you always find the best in you, or the best way to express your ingenuity in every situation, and be happy and proud. There will always be so many among us who can see how amazing you are in each time. I hope you’ll cut the things, people, and situations that make you sad and obscured.
